Role: HR Advisor
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Location: Southampton (hybrid)

We are working with a fast-growing international company that are looking for an HR Advisor, due to expansion, to join their busy HR department. This role would be the first point of contact for all HR queries, including ER Case Management and Management Training & Coaching. If you’re interested in a varied role that gives you international ER experience as well as involvement with L&D and Management training, this role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first response to general employee inquiries and management of the HR Inbox.
  • Support Group Senior HR Advisor in Employee Relations such as capability investigations, mediations, grievances, and disciplinaries.
  • End-to-end ER support to managers for low-risk cases and performance management.
  • HR Operations and Compliance tasks such as New starter documentation, Onbaording, and Induction processes
  • Reporting & Recording keeping for the entire employee life-cycle Logging visa expiry dates on PeopleHR and chasing for renewal paperwork promptly.
  • Monthly reporting on HR data e.g. absenteeism, turnover with a proactive approach to raising concerns to the Group Senior HR Advisor.
  • Identifying opportunities and solutions for improvement of processes.

Learning and Development

  • Assist in the creation of eLearning to aid learning in different departments across the group.
  • Deliver training to junior employees e.g. Mentor scheme, New Starters.
  • Ownership of the competency matrix, keeping this updated as job descriptions change, and new ones are added.
  • Update training records accordingly on PeopleHR for new and existing staff, with the view of all staff having an up-to-date and complete training record.
  • Provide feedback and data from learning carried out across the business and identify needs for future training planning, based on these metrics.
  • Support in encouraging eLearning to be completed and play an active part in promoting eLearning to support career goals etc. 


The Ideal Candidate:​

  • Qualified CIPD, ideally to Level 3working towards Level 5
  • Good attention to detail. and organisation skills, and time management
  • Excellent communication skills. Personable and strong relationship builder.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment hit the ground running.​
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, HRIS, and Applicant Tracking Systems.​
  •  Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
