Are you passionate about people, policy, and creating positive workplace experiences? My client is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Employee Relations Advisor to join their dedicated HR team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who thrives on supporting managers and employees through the employee lifecycle, offering expert advice, and promoting best practice across a broad range of HR matters.
�� About the Role:
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you’ll be a key point of contact for employee relations queries, providing clear, consistent, and pragmatic advice in line with HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. You’ll handle a variety of day-to-day HR matters including employee relations casework, policy interpretation, absence management, and general people queries.
You’ll also work alongside HR Business Partners, supporting organisational change activity such as restructures, TUPE transfers, redundancy programmes, and changes to terms and conditions.
✨ Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of HR policy, procedures, employment law and best practice.
  • Support and coach managers through employee relations processes including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
  • Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant application of people policies and processes across the organisation.
  • Proactively use HR data and insights to identify trends and areas for improvement in employee engagement, absence, retention, and inclusion.
  • Prepare employment tribunal documentation and support stakeholders through the legal process where necessary.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with organisational change activities, including restructuring and TUPE processes.
  • Develop and deliver people-focussed initiatives and recommend employee relations training to upskill managers and mitigate risk.

�� What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience advising managers on a range of HR matters in line with current UK employment legislation.
  • Practical experience managing employee relations casework and HR processes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law with the ability to translate legal requirements into operational HR practice.
  • Experience working with HR Information Systems, data management, and reporting.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted, effective relationships at all levels.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
