Our client is an SME online retailer specialising in providing porcelain and heating products for homeowners and tradespeople across the UK. They have grown substantially in their first 10 years, as well as receiving numerous awards within their space. They are a remote-first company and have created a great work culture across the business.
I am looking for an ambitious People & Culture Manager to help shape the future of work, promoting a high-performance culture and continuously improving remote work practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the People & Culture function, overseeing People Support, Recruitment, and Learning & Development, with x1 direct report.
- Promote and nurture a positive, supportive, high-performing culture.
- Enhance remote and distributed working practices.
- Provide exceptional people partnering, offering coaching, mentoring, and guidance to department leaders and managers.
- Promote continuous learning and provide strategic direction for People Development.
- Lead HR change projects, such as redefining performance management practices.
- Utilise HR technology to streamline operations and present data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with Marketing to cultivate a strong employer brand.
- Refine the benefits offering and provide data-driven compensation advice.
- Ensure robust and compliant People Policies are in place and understood.
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading successful HR teams.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
- Experience in growth-focused environments and remote or hybrid work settings.
- High emotional intelligence and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a long-term perspective on problem-solving.
- Ability to drive change and implement effective processes without bureaucracy.
