Reporting to the MD, this role will manage a small team and deliver the HR strategic plan for the business. Encompassing circa 100 employees, this role will be responsible for the execution of the people plan, ensuring adherence to employment legislation, and provide full coverage in a generalist HR capacity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recruitment, assessment, and onboarding of new employees to the business, ensuring cultural and technical fit with the organisation to ensure talent and capability pipelines are developed and maintained.
- Ensure employees are rewarded effectively to encourage retention including ongoing review of reward and remuneration practises. Utilising benchmarking tools to support the strategy.
- Lead people work streams on organisational change projects, providing HR interventions when necessary.
- Support, coach, and mentor the SLT members on activities to ensure the organisation structure is fit for purpose.
- Drive the health and well-being strategy across the business to create a positive and healthy work experience.
- Manage policy and procedure creation and updating, ensuring legal compliance with changing legislation.
- Responsibility for all ER case management across the business, escalating where necessary.
- Ensuring talent and succession management, high potential identification, and development of key individuals is delivered across the business.
Key experience required:
- Track record of balancing operational and strategic HR agendas within an SME business.
- Management of small teams.
- A track record of dealing with ER issues successfully.
- Experience in driving successful engagement initiatives across the business.
- Participation as a senior management member within an organisation.
