Covering a population of c.150 employees across 3 sites, the Head of HR needs to create an HR function that prepares the business for the future.
Looking at ensuring the legal requirements are met, policies and processes are established and adhered to and employment laws are embedded is just one element of this role. Beyond the statutory requirements, the Head of HR will be responsible for driving the forward thinking HR initiatives including talent attraction and management, leadership development, reward and retention strategies, HR systems implementation and management as well as stakeholder influencing and coaching the senior leadership team.
As a stand-alone Head of HR, you will be required to influence how HR is perceived and received within the business, partnering various line managers to improve the current offering and knowledge base. The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or equivalent, with experience of setting up and HR function and have previously implemented an HR system. Previous exposure to working within a regulated environment would be beneficial. Initially offered as 12 months FTC, this role is about the establishment and set up of a strategic HR offering. It is likely to be followed by the recruitment of an HR Manager to maintain the function beyond the initial 12 months.
