This is a newly created role whose main purpose is to lead the development, delivery and ongoing management of an existing learning agenda and an emerging organisational development agenda within the business.

The role will also involve liaising with key stakeholders to identify business challenges, requirements and solutions plus develop the OD capability. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is capable of influencing and negotiating at all levels, whilst demonstrating a clear passion for organisational and people development.
As Head of Organisation Development your key responsibilities will be:

  • Working with key stakeholders to understand learning and organisational development needs, develop agreed learning and OD strategies and ensure necessary and appropriate delivery
  • Leading, managing and providing professional supervision to a specialist team of direct reports
  • Developing and promoting OD activities that deliver a culture of high performance and employee engagement
  • Developing a range of OD activities and interventions to support structural and cultural change plus continuous improvement
  • Managing allocated budgets and resources

Skills and experience:

  • Broad and deep experience in their discipline, typically gained through full professional qualification and/or a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering OD, leadership management and people development programmes with measured impact across complex, large scale organisations
  • Passionate advocate for organisational and people development who is able to influence and inspire others
  • Address business challenges and change requirements in a creative and innovative way
  • Capable of influencing and negotiating at all levels
  • Knowledge of leading-edge theory and techniques relating to organisational development, leadership, management and people development
