Purpose:
To be passionate about all things working with and for people – putting our employees at the heart of the organisation; the organisation has been very operationally focused but has undergone (and is still going through) a significant period of change.  The Head of People will champion our employees and their experience across the business and make sure they and the HR agenda are at the forefront for the Senior Leadership Team.
  
Supported by the Director, the role holder will take responsibility for all aspects of the HR function, building a high functioning and motivated team; ensuring they deliver a high quality and professional service. The role holder will also play a key part in cross functional and collaborative projects across the organisation, including our Employee Journey and Journey to Incredible.
  
Overall this is a generalist HR role is to develop and drive the People Strategy to support the overall strategic aims: looking at all aspects from Recruitment, Onboarding, Training & Development, Performance Management, Reward & Recognition, Benefits, Policies and Processes, Resourcing Models, Succession Planning and supporting the organisation with a best in class HR Business Partner team with particular focus on our Operational Network.
  
The department contains talented and committed individuals, with our new Strategic Direction there are now lots that the team want to re-look at, be empowered to start and develop to move the organisation forward. The Head of People will be an excellent communicator and engage the HR team and empower them to shape initiatives and processes.

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified and have experience of leading a team of CoE Managers including Recruitment, L&D, and Payroll. You will be able to travel to Coventry to work out the HO at least 2 days per week and travel to other sites if needed (on very few occasions).
