UK HR Manager – Job Description /  12 Month FTC / Up to £70k / Full time – 4 Days on site

ABOUT THE COMPANY
I’m working with a fantastic and innovative client that makes mind blowing transformational tools that help with worldwide research across numerous industries. With 15 years expertise, they aim to make a difference in the world and have an ambitious growth plan that will see the business expand 4 times in size over the next 4 years. Their rapid growth plan has created a new opportunity to hire an HR Manager on a 12-month FTC basis.

The business operates in the UK, Europe & the US. The existing HR function is comprised of HR Managers across each country – reporting into a Global Director of HR. The team work collaboratively in designing solutions. The team is growing and beginning the journey from a small team of Generalists into a larger team that includes Specialists. The team expects to upgrade its HR systems to Workday in the coming months and will use the HR Manager peer group as both subject matter experts and user acceptance testers.
  
ABOUT THE ROLE
The HR Manager – UK, is responsible for ensuring comprehensive, efficient and effective HR support to the managers and employees in the UK and collaborating with colleagues across Europe. Works as a trusted partner to deliver organisational goals and high employee satisfaction. The role will support c.20 Managers.

Whilst the role is UK focussed, our client would love to welcome people who have worked for multinational companies in more than one site and therefore a global mindset is advantageous.
  
ABOUT YOU

You will be able to work autonomously and be the trusted HR partner for the UK to lead on a variety of different people projects. You will be solution focused and passionate about the possibilities innovation and data can bring to really drive change.

Do you have strong excel skills and like to be hands on with data analytics and reporting as well as the plethora of HR people projects?  
  
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working within an international team of HR Managers, continuously improving the HR operations provision.
  • Implements best practice solutions to HR issues, working within a strategic framework.
  • Manages key stakeholders to support the overall strategic direction of HR and the Company.
  • Plans and manages the recruitment process supporting the hiring manager from start to finish.
  • Manages the HR elements of onboarding and induction of new employees. Manages employee relations, employment law and regulations.
  • Produces relevant reports and Management Information.
  • Day to day administration and updating of HR systems.
  • Supports the Workday implementation.
  • Responsible for annual processes such as performance review.
  • Supports managers with employee management providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Supports the development of Manager’s people skills.
  • Assists with rolling out company-wide training and development programs.
  • Updates and implements HR policies, processes and procedures.
  • Provides relevant HR information to managers on correct procedures.
  • Supports and develops HR initiatives and projects to develop the HR function and service.
  • Manages HR projects successfully.

  • Manages Strategic Plans relating to organisational objectives.
  • Responsible for implementing Department level goals and KPIs.
  • Sets individuals goals and KPIs.
  • Responsible for Department level people priorities and initiatives.
  • Reports on progress of people initiatives.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Proficient in HR systems.
  • Skilled in managing change and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Maintains a calm approach to dealing with issues and resolving them.
  • Knowledge of HR law.
  • Skilled practitioner of management development.
  • Capable to coach managers.
  • Able to design and implement improvements to the HR function.
  • Requires good Excel skills.

  
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10 years + HR experience in an international environment.
  • Experience through the life cycle of HR Management.
  • Experience working within a multinational team.
  • Experience of working with Managers to ensure good practice is applied.
  • Experience of delivering against organisation goals.
  • Experience of HR systems and training users on systems.

  
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
Up to 10% annually, potentially globally.
  
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • A relevant HR Management qualification.
