As the HR Manager based in Luton, you’ll lead a team of 3 supporting our client’s Defence business line, managing a workforce of approximately 450 employees. You’ll be part of the global functions, reporting to the Senior VP HR Defence (USA) and collaborating closely with the Site Director (Luton). Leading a team of 3, and working in partnership with their centres of excellence, this role offers a unique blend of strategic and operational responsibilities, where you’ll shape our HR strategy while driving engagement and performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Site Director and leadership team, shaping HR strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Drive talent management and performance processes to ensure workforce excellence.
  • Foster employee engagement and positive relations with Trade Unions (UNITE) and Employee Representatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members while managing transactional HR duties.
  • Ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks related to HR policies and regulations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive operational HR experience in Lean manufacturing or similar environments.
  • Proven track record in managing employee relations and organizational change.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
