An exciting new position for an experienced HR Manager is now available. The HR Manager can expect the role to be hands-on and will be required to assist with the overall HR operations across all sites, also supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  
The key remit of this role will include:
  

  • Manage the provision and delivery of a dedicated service on all aspects of HR relating to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organisation change, and the range of employment/employee relations matters to ensure processes, policies, and legislation are adhered to.
  • Continuously seeks to identify current and future needs of the business offering a fresh perspective and approach to problem-solving.
  • Working with managers to identify recruitment and training skill gaps and support succession planning
  • Proactively engage with people projects, seeking responsibility and demonstrating a passion to drive key projects and initiatives.
  • To develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the business, advising, coaching, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

  
Other responsibilities and associated tasks:

  • Run the recruitment process including employee onboarding/induction.
  • Drive the implementation and future development of the site’s HR System.
  • Oversee and support all employee relations issues with relevant line managers.
  • Ensure that all correspondence relating to HR matters remains relevant and up to date.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are current and in line with both the latest employment legislation and site practices.
  • Manage and report on HR metrics.
  • Ensure appropriate contractual documentation is issued for all employees.
  • Provide solutions to employment relations, developing managers to ensure a wider understanding of HR policies and processes, through appropriate training.
  • Site management of AXA and Experian.
  • Other ad-hoc duties/projects as required.

  
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  

  • Experience of working within manufacturing, multi-site role.
  • Excellent and in-depth knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in applying best practice across all HR processes.
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands, pressures and to manage time effectively.
  • Strong level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  • Strong level of influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Good working knowledge of computer programmes, including HR systems.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity and able to discuss sensitive issues confidently and impartially.
  • Working with managers at all levels to provide support and guidance.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

  
The ideal candidate will have 5 years HR experience, CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum. Hours of work will be 08.30-17.30, flexibility as required by business needs. You will also need to be able to work from the Eastbourne office 2 days a week and the Wiltshire office 1 day a week with the other days being home-based.
