The Resource and Talent Partner will represent the organisation in recruiting and retaining top talent. Entrusted with an ongoing objective to discover talent, build a strong employment brand and ensure great relationships with both candidates and leaders.

Key responsibilities of the Resource and Talent Partner role:

Talent Management

  • Determine current resourcing needs and partner with Finance & HR Business Partner
  • Assist in the delivery of Talent management and hiring plans
  • Support the Head of People & Talent in leading employment branding initiatives
  • Direct sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs through online advertising, LinkedIn and headhunting methods
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls, testing etc.)
  • Create positive candidate experience – brand awareness
  • Assist in employee retention and development
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement
  • Benchmarking of all roles and management of core data
  • Support HR business partner with Talent and Succession planning, aligning to our resourcing, talent & L&D agenda 

Supplier Management

  • Manage second tier agencies and PSL
  • Supplier relationship management, LinkedIn, Job boards etc.
  • Contractor management


  • Manage end to end recruitment requirements 
  • Interview coordination
  • Interview support for managers
  • Pre-screen and qualification meetings
  • Weekly reporting on all resourcing activity
  • Job Description creation and ownership
  • Contractor to permanent conversions
  • Responding / creation of proposals for both work package and manage service proposals to support the business
  • Deliver in house training to our employees and leader population


To engage and partner across the business, establishing key relationships and gaining an understanding of the resourcing structure and objectives within each Directorate. Adhering to, supporting and facilitating plans to support the delivery of directorate objectives relating to Talent Management


To provide appropriate, consistent, valuable and effective Talent & Resourcing advice and guidance to support the delivery of individual and functional scorecards.


  • Managing the RRF Process
  • Supporting JD creation and scope
  • Lead the new starter induction process
  • On-boarding for contractor and permanent – to include sourcing, screening, offers, contractors, Right to Work verification, and first day induction
  • Coordination of all offers (permanent and contract) through the HR team
  • Leader resource training
  • Process improvement 


  • Ownership of data input/output of SAGE

HR Activities

  • Management of the Leaver processes including Exit Interviews with contractors and permanent
  • Ad hoc HR tasks and projects
  • Ad hoc support for the Head of People and Talent
  • Support in RemCo data (market analysis and intelligence)

Ensure adherence to best practice and values making continual improvements where possible.

You will also be responsible for accurate benchmarking data and collaborate and promote teamwork and share knowledge and expertise.

Person specification:

  • Demonstrable experience as an onsite resource partner or within in- house recruiter capacity
  • Knowledge of the 360 recruitment process
  • Fast paced, matrix structure
  • Educated to A level or qualified by experience
  • Microsoft Office skills, Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), databases ad in house systems
  • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
  • Flexible – able to create and adapt appropriate solutions
  • A strong team ethic, be company minded, and professional
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and employment branding
  • Understanding of recruitment selection methods and techniques
  • Willingness to understand the duties and competencies of different roles
  • Excellent communicator, written and oral
  • Basics of HR Lifecycle
