Our Commitments

HR Heads is a values-led business with strong corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments.

We are committed to operating in an ethical, responsible and sustainable manner and strive to make a positive impact on our candidates, clients, the wider HR community, the environment and our team.

HR Heads is a values-led business with strong corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments, this responsibility takes different forms, such as promoting Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, providing fair and flexible working conditions and giving back to the HR community.

As a leading HR recruitment agency, our clients and candidates look to us to provide a fantastic service, but the values and ethics we stand for are also important to them.

Our strong CSR commitment, which aligns fully with our visions, enables us to attract top HR talent, partner with leading brands with similar values and contributes to a better world.

Our Key CSR Initiatives

With a variety of ways to get involved, we encourage candidates and clients to find out more about our CSR initiatives, which are outlined below.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

“When everyone is included, everyone wins.”

Jesse Jackson

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion is embedded into our DNA at HR Heads and one of our core business pillars.

We firmly believe in equity for all and have pledged to continue attracting a workforce that reflects this, not only for ourselves but for the clients and candidates we engage with.

They are more than just words for us; they are the guiding principles of how we build our teams and future leaders and how we inspire organisations to diversify talent pools. We have a global multi-cultural following and are duty-bound to reflect this in our hiring processes.

From candidate attraction, right through to Board representation, ED&I touches every part of the process and people need to feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work knowing they will be treated equally and fairly, that they belong, and that their opinion matters.

Demonstrating our commitment to ED&I:

  • Signed the Race Fairness Commitment Pledge which ensures fairness at work for people of all ethnic backgrounds and the Change the Race Ratio, which aims to accelerate racial diversity in business.
  • Run regular events for our network with guest speakers who discuss ED&I in the workplace and what organisations can do to attract a more diverse workforce.
  • Pioneered a mentoring scheme tackling gender and age diversity.

There is more work to be done, but with the help of our employees, customers, strategic partners, and network we can achieve #EqualityForAll.

Macmillan Cancer Support Charity Partnership

We’re very proud to partner with Macmillan Cancer Support and have raised more than £16,000 to date towards the charity’s mission of making sure no one faces cancer alone.

With our CV Aid and ‘Heads Up’ schemes, various charity and Macmillan-hosted events, Macmillan has become part of HR Heads’ daily life.

CV Aid

A good CV is essential in the job search process because it provides a first impression, showcases your skills and experiences, demonstrates professionalism, and helps you stand out from other candidates.

As specialist recruiters of HR professionals, we’ve seen it all, and are regularly asked to review and advise as to how best present yourself to the market.

That is why we created ‘CV Aid’; an initiative through which we support Macmillan.

While we won’t write your CV for you, we will give you a steer on its structure, content and presentation.

For each CV we consult on, we ask you to make a donation, big or small, via our JustGiving page

The ‘Heads Up’ Referral Scheme

The ‘Heads Up’ is a referral scheme with a difference.

We recognise that referring your most talented peers to an HR recruitment partner can require a leap of faith and to reward and reciprocate that trust.

That is why we donate £250 to Macmillan Cancer Support when we place that individual in a role (and they remain in post beyond their probation period).

Macmillan Events

As well as ‘business focused’ events such as our HR Heads Breakfast Forums, we enjoy supporting Macmillan through differing sporting and fun challenges too.

Over the years, the team has participated in the London Marathon, Ride London, the Macmillan Pedal Paddle Pace triathlon, The Rotary Dorset Sportive, Nelsons Tour De Test Valley and hosted a number of fundraisers such as the Hobbs Fashion evening and a Wine Tasting evening.

The Armed Forces Covenant

HR Heads is also proud to have joined many leading organisations in signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation to those who serve. It says we will do all we can to ensure they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives. This includes offering injured servicemen and women and bereaved families extra support where appropriate.
