Spotlight Sports Group Case Study: Long-standing Recruitment Support

Having worked with Spotlight Sports Group intermittently since 2015, Rosie had built a solid relationship with the company and understood their culture and requirements well. Spotlight Sports Group required a new Head of Talent Acquisition and Rosie collaborated with the HR Director to scope the requirement both in terms of skills and cultural fit.

The shortlist presented by Rosie included an experienced candidate (Nicola), despite a seven-year career break to raise a family. Rosie’s deep understanding of how the candidates skills and profile would match the role requirements, resulted in a successful interview process with the Spotlight Sports Group.

This consultative approach saw Nicola secure the role, despite facing previous rejections due to the career gap.

A few years later, the HR Director of 15 years, moved on. Nicola, now in a senior position, approached Rosie for assistance in finding a replacement. Spotlight Sports Group had an initial candidate in mind and sought Rosie’s assessment through a retained search. Rosie conducted a face-to-face meeting with Nicola and the COO to understand SSG’s growth plans and the person specification for the new Director of People and Culture.

Within three weeks, Rosie presented an initial shortlist. Six were invited to the first stage, and subsequent interviews were scheduled. The successful candidate was selected and offered the position within seven weeks.

Both hires facilitated by Rosie have been extremely successful. Nicola is now in her fourth year and the People Director in her second year at Spotlight Sports Group.

“Rosie is a consummate professional. She has a deep understanding of her clients and candidates and represents both fairly and transparently. Working with Rosie is an absolute delight.”
