Looking for a role where HR genuinely influences operational success?

We’re partnering with a major UK infrastructure and logistics organisation to appoint an HR Advisor into a highly visible and commercially important site-based role.

This is an opportunity to join a large, complex operation where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with operational leaders across a diverse workforce, helping to shape people decisions, support organisational change and ensure managers have the confidence to tackle challenging employee relations matters effectively.

If you’re looking for a role that offers exposure, autonomy and the chance to develop into a future HR Business Partner, this is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience within a fast-paced environment.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your day hidden behind policies or HR administration. You’ll be a trusted advisor to operational leaders, supporting a workforce that keeps a critical UK operation running every day.

You’ll gain exposure to:
  • Complex employee relations casework
  • Industrial relations and trade union engagement
  • Organisational change and consultation activity
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Workforce planning and operational people challenges
  • A large-scale, unionised environment where HR can genuinely influence business outcomes
For ambitious HR professionals, the breadth and visibility of this role provides an excellent platform for future progression.

The Role
Working closely with the wider HR team and operational managers, you’ll provide practical and commercially focused HR support across a varied employee population.

You’ll take ownership of ER matters from start to finish, support managers through complex people issues, contribute to industrial relations activity and help drive a consistent and positive employee experience.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing decision-making and being part of the operation rather than sitting on the sidelines.

About You
You’ll likely bring experience from a fast-paced operational environment such as:
  • Manufacturing
  • Logistics
  • Warehousing
  • FMCG
  • Engineering
  • Transport
  • Utilities
  • Construction
You’ll ideally have:
  • Strong employee relations experience
  • Experience within a unionised environment
  • Sound employment law knowledge
  • Confidence coaching and challenging managers
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
  • A pragmatic and commercially minded approach
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy working closely with the business and building credibility with stakeholders at all levels.

Alongside a genuinely interesting and career-enhancing role, you’ll receive an outstanding benefits package:

Financial Benefits
  • Competitive salary up to £48,000
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Defined contribution pension with up to 16.5% combined contribution
  • Life assurance of 4x salary
