We’re looking for an exceptional Internal Communication & Engagement Lead to play a pivotal role in driving colleague engagement, leadership communications, and organisational culture across a dynamic and evolving business. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring our people understand where we’re going, why it matters, and how they contribute to our success.

What you’ll be doing As a trusted adviser to senior leaders, you’ll shape and deliver strategic communications that build trust, alignment and engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership
- Advising executives and senior leaders on communication strategy, storytelling and colleague engagement.
- Translating business priorities into compelling, integrated communication plans.
- Creating impactful leadership communications including speeches, presentations, announcements and thought leadership content.
- Leading enterprise-wide communication campaigns that support business objectives and transformation.
Culture & Engagement
- Driving a strong, unified culture and helping leaders bring the organisational narrative to life.
- Leading colleague engagement, wellbeing and listening strategies.
- Managing employee feedback programmes and ensuring insights result in meaningful action.
- Overseeing organisation-wide recognition and awards programmes that celebrate success and strengthen engagement.
Channels & Communications Excellence
- Owning the internal communications channel strategy and associated budget.
- Optimising existing platforms while identifying innovative ways to engage colleagues.
- Using data, analytics and feedback to continually improve communication effectiveness and employee experience.
People Leadership
- Leading, coaching and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Fostering a creative, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Deputising for the Head of Internal Communication & Engagement when required.
Crisis & Change Communications
- Supporting organisational responses during incidents, operational challenges and reputational events.
- Delivering clear, timely and sensitive communications during periods of change or uncertainty.
What we’re looking for You’ll be an experienced internal communications professional with the confidence and credibility to influence at executive level.
You’ll bring:
✅ Significant experience in Internal Communications, Corporate Communications or Employee Engagement.
✅ A proven track record of advising senior leaders and executives.
✅ Experience delivering strategic communication campaigns and leading channel strategies.
✅ Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
✅ Outstanding writing, storytelling and communication planning capabilities.
✅ The ability to simplify complex business issues into engaging, relevant messaging.
✅ Strong analytical skills, using insight and feedback to shape strategy and measure impact.
✅ Calm judgement and resilience when managing crisis communications or fast-moving business challenges.
Experience within a regulated or complex organisation would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
